The Ramping Up for the Big Deal

The storms kept coming and the water would rise in the fields because they were just soaked to the bone. The rivers were rising from the rains.

I wouldn't say this was the lull before the storm, but it was clear that the threat of flooding was haunting us. With the snow pack and the amount of rain we were in for a very interesting and tense few months to come. This summer would be like none other I have spent in Utah.

Well, while it was peaceful, I decided to take some pix around the homestead.

The birds loved the water over the farmers fields.

The river is still pretty high. Plenty of water come down from the mountains.

Stuff like this comes down the river.

The fields are not drying out because the rains keep coming and the ground is soaked.

The hint of a rainbow is nice. At least it is a sign that the earth won't be flooded
even if we flood here.

After one of the rain days, which have been many. I can't believe this is Utah
on the edge of a desert.

Snow capped mountains in mid May in  the Ogden area is just not heard of.

The crops are trying to grow through the water. Nature is wonderful if it isn't flooding us.
